Kew Gardens Wedding Photography: A London Wedding Venue Guide (2026)

A Dream London Wedding Venue for Nature-Loving Couples

If you’re looking for Kew Gardens wedding photography, you’re probably imagining a wedding venue that feels romantic, elegant, and completely unique. Somewhere filled with incredible natural beauty, iconic glasshouses, and the kind of dreamy backdrops that make wedding photos feel effortlessly timeless. Kew Gardens is exactly that kind of place.

As a wedding photographer, venues like Kew are a dream come true. The combination of iconic Victorian architecture, extraordinary botanical surroundings, endless natural light, and beautifully curated landscapes means your wedding gallery will have so much beauty and variety - without ever needing to leave the grounds. From the impressive glasshouses to tucked-away pathways, tropical planting to huge lawns and a lake, it’s one of those venues where every turn offers another perfect photo opportunity. So what to choose? Hopefully these images will help you decide!

The Nash Conservatory Ceremony Space at Kew Gardens

If there’s one ceremony space I’ve been to that feels crazy elegant, it’s the Nash Conservatory.

Licensed for civil ceremonies, this extraordinary 19th-century glasshouse is one of Kew’s most iconic wedding spaces and accommodates up to 200 guests. Floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides flood the space with natural light all year round, creating the most flattering, soft illumination for photography (honestly, I LOVE it).

Architecturally, it’s breathtaking - refined white ironwork, soaring glass, symmetry everywhere, and just enough botanical softness to stop it feeling formal. It’s elegant without trying too hard. I find there is plenty of space to move around the area capturing you both from different angles, without being too obvious or intrusive.

And after the ceremony? The lawn behind the conservatory is ideal for champagne, hugs, and all those candid guest moments while you sneak away for portraits..

Your Kew Gardens Wedding Photography

One of the biggest advantages of choosing Kew Gardens for your wedding is how much photographic variety you get in one venue..

So Many Stunning Photo Opportunities

Depending on timings and permissions, you could capture portraits with:

  • The iconic glasshouse architecture

  • Tropical planting in the conservatories

  • Elegant pathways and tree-lined avenues

  • Seasonal flowers and landscaped gardens

  • Open lawns with dreamy natural backdrops

  • Atmospheric evening architecture

For couples wanting wedding photos that feel natural, stylish, and full of personality, it’s pretty much ideal. I took these outside King William’s Temple (and Mediterranean Garden) , The Palm House, finishing in The Temperate House.

The Temperate House: A Spectacular Space for Wedding Photos and Your Reception

The Temperate House It's also one of the most memorable reception spaces in the city. As the world's largest surviving Victorian glasshouse, it's an extraordinary setting filled with towering plants, elegant ironwork and endless natural light. Guests can dine and celebrate surrounded by thousands of rare and exotic plants beneath the soaring Victorian glass roof, creating an experience that feels both elegant and unique. The space can accommodate larger celebrations and transforms beautifully for evening receptions, with dining tables, flowers and lighting sitting perfectly amongst the greenery.
