Francesca and Nicholas approached me last year to be their wedding photographer for their wedding in Cyprus in May. However a few weeks ago they decided they needed a wedding photographer for a small register office wedding they were going to have here in the UK so that their elderly grandparents, who are unable to fly to Cyprus, to attend. Their civil ceremony took place at Tower Hamlets Register Office which can be found in St George’s Town Hall in Shadwell, just one stop away from Bank Underground Station on the DLR.

Tower Hamlets Register Office has the most beautiful bright, light and airy room for marriages, and a gorgeous little interview room with an awesome ‘Happy Ever After’ sign. Perfect for wedding photography!

Old Marylebone Town Hall Wedding Photographer

During my first wedding at Marylebone Town Hall as a wedding photographer I remember thinking oh wow! The staff were SO friendly and helpful and I LOVED the different areas where couples can have their wedding photography. I’ve included a selection below of some of the different rooms, the staircase outside and some photoshoot opportunities to think about in the nearby area. Oh and both posed and non-posed images to give you an idea, and hopefully some inspiration!.

The Old Marylebone Town Hall was built on Marylebone road in London from 1914 to 1920, and is a grade II listed building. Its grand entrance, with its sweeping staircase, is decorated with columns inspired by classic Roman and Greek architecture. Which can make for some awesome wedding photography.

Amelia and Alex, the first couple in the images below, chose the Westminster Ceremony Room to have their wedding. It is the largest of the 7 register rooms and can comfortably fit 100 guests. It is ornately decorated with wooden wall panels and ceiling decorations. The natural light entering from the front facing windows beautifully lights up the couple as you can see from these photos..

Alice and Graeme tied the knot in a simple, yet elegant wedding ceremony in the Garden Room of leafy Southwark Register Office. Southwark Register Office is located on the Peckham Road and easily accessible by public transport, with several bus routes and Oval and Kennington Tube Stations nearby. It was tears AND laughter for Anne-Marie, Sebastien and their three awesome teenage daughters at Marylebone Town Hall. After twenty years together they finally said "I do" and it was the most beautiful thing ever.

Before the ceremony we met up outside and it was a great opportunity to get started on their wedding photography.

Anne-Marie and Sebastien opted to marry in the smaller Marylebone Room at Marylebone Old Town Hall. Reserved for smaller wedding parties it was the perfect size for them and also has the most stunning fireplace decorated with beautiful flowers and makes a wonderful backdrop for wedding photography.

As a London wedding photographer I just LOVE getting these kind of shots! Relaxed and just married Anne-Marie and Sebastien were happy to continue their wedding photography out the back of the Town hall - an awesome little London street which is quiet of traffic, and perfect for those relaxed, natural wedding photographs.
