The 12 Apostles Church Christening Photography | Christine Constantine Photography

I love being invited up to the tranquil surroundings of Brookmans Park near Hatfield to shoot Christenings at the Greek Orthodox 12 Apostles Church. The 12 Apostles church as its name suggests is dedicated to the twelve apostles of Christ. As beautiful place of worship and popular with the young Greek community of north London. As a London christening photographer I just love the opportunity to work in these wonderfully spiritual and tranquil places. It is alway super-friendly and one church where you get a very warm welcome..

Christening Details

I always arrive super early to be ready to start shooting a soon as the family/Godparents arrive. Before the Christening begins I’ll grab a few shots of the lambada, dress/outfit, oil and any other christening details..

St Katherine's Greek Orthodox Church Christening Photographer | Friern Barnet

I’ve been asked a few times to be a Christening Photographer at the beautiful Greek Orthodox Church of St Katherine in North London. And tucked away in a leafy suburb of Barnet it’s a joy to visit.

Originally known as St James the Great Church (formally a Church of England Church) it sits on Friern Barnet Lane and Friary Road. It’s Norman character retains much of its history. The rector Damian Konstantinou is very pleasant and conducts baptisms in a relaxed and friendly manner. Services can be conducted in Greek and/or English, depending on your preference, making it accessible to both Greek-speaking families and those new to the Orthodox faith.

Parents often choose St Katherine’s not only for its spiritual depth but also for its sense of community. From the first steps of planning your baby’s baptism, you’ll feel embraced by a congregation that values family, faith, and tradition.

Inside St Katherine’s Greek Orthodox Church

Located in the heart of Barnet, St Katherine’s Church is a vibrant and family-friendly community deeply rooted in Greek Orthodox tradition. With a warm, inclusive atmosphere and beautiful Byzantine architecture, the church provides a sacred and serene environment for baptisms.
