A popular choice amongst Brits marrying in Cyprus, the Nissi Beach Resort in Ayia Napa offers everything in one place. The hotel boasts many rooms that literally open up onto the beach. Many brides choose to stay in the hotel and get ready in one of the rooms - in which case it is just a short walk to the gazebos overlooking the sea. Nissi Beach Resort Wedding Photography

Just a short walk away you can find Nissi Beach and the various bars and restaurants along the beach, including the popular laid-back Isola Beach Bar. The beach stretches for 500 metres and the water is clean enough to have been awarded the blue flag designation. The beach, which runs the length of its own cove, takes its name from the small islet of Nissi located close to the coast. It is easily reached on foot through the shallow turquoise waters and its location provides a good shelter for the rest of the beach.

Theano and Andreas are a popular young couple from Nicosia. They approached me some time before the wedding to be their wedding photographer and I got on well with them and understood what they wanted from their photographer from the start. After an intimate and beautiful hilltop wedding ceremony they partied the night away at the stunning Aes Ambelis Winery.

The winery was founded in 1992, and has since produced wines of unique character and premium quality. Aes Ambelis is located on the slopes of Kalo Chorio Orinis in the Nicosia district, 28 km southwest of the capital. The winery is on two-levels and includes modern winemaking facilities, an underground cellar for barrel and bottle aging, as well as a tasting and reception hall. The wedding receptions I’ve photographed have always been in the summer and outside on the large terrace - overlooking the hills of that region.

Miri and Alon were keen to have a much more natural approach to their wedding day, photography that didn’t interfere with the day’s events and were there to tell the story of the day as it unfolded. It was a beautiful day from start to finish, with the ceremony and the party being held at the popular beachside venue Galu on the shores of Larnaca. It was a day filled with so much love and joy. A simple exchange of vows and proclamation of love paying respect to their Jewish faith, and in the company of their closest friends and family, it truly was an honour for this humble Larnaca wedding photographer to be part of this very special day.

Paula and Vince flew in from Saudi Arabia to marry on our warm and sunny shores. Surrounded by just their close friends from around the globe, including New Zealand where Paula is from and the US where Vince was born, it really had a unique multi-cultural flavour.
